Your consultation is also an important part of determining whether BOTOX® or DAXXIFY® is appropriate for you. We review your health history, medications, previous neurotoxin treatments and reactions, and the areas you are considering treating before proceeding.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, infection at or near a planned injection site, certain neuromuscular conditions, previous reactions to botulinum toxin products, and some medications or medical conditions may affect whether treatment is appropriate or should be postponed. We will also discuss potential risks, expected effects, aftercare, and when to contact us with concerns.
The consultation includes product-specific benefits, duration, asymmetry risk, brow or eyelid effects, headache, bruising, and rare systemic symptoms.

AFTERCARE & RECOVERY
After Neurotoxin Treatment
Avoid rubbing, pressing, or massaging the treated areas unless instructed otherwise. Remain upright for the first several hours and avoid strenuous exercise, significant heat exposure, or firm pressure on the injection sites for the remainder of the day. Minor bumps, redness, tenderness, or bruising can occur; the full effect is not immediate.
Contact the clinic for significant asymmetry, eyelid or brow drooping, worsening pain, or another unexpected response. Seek urgent medical care for difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing; generalized weakness; or signs of a serious allergic reaction.
